2015 Conventions

Conventions I attended in 2014! Costumes worn are pictured to the left with a short blurb on my thoughts about the convention to the right, along with dates and cosplays worn. Cosplay premieres are notated using italics.

Ah, my inaugural year of cosplay. In 2014 I moved to the East coast and dove into the world of cosplay completely headfirst. I learned so much, especially in this first year, and I can't believe how many new friendships it helped me form, especially given how new I was to the area.

Virginia Comic Con

Dates: November 22-23

Costumes: Katniss Everdeen, Princess Luna

A small show, but a fun one. I met Katie Fleming Cosplay here for the first time, and saw the lovelies from Mad Love Cosplay again! I think it's a bit too far of a drive for me to attend again for such a small show, however.

The Great Allentown Comic Con

Dates: November 15-16

Costumes: Queen Regina

A super small con, but so much fun! I went on Sunday as Regina and placed third in the costume contest, which was really awesome. I also met one of the cosplayers I had been following the longest, the ridiculously talented BelleChere.

New York Comic Con

Dates: October 9-12

Costumes: Avatar Kyoshi, Queen Regina, CatwomanPrincess Luna, Penny

What can I say about NYCC? So many things. Just... so many. It was an insane weekend away from reality with so many things to do and people to meet and friends to hang out with and I'm sure it will only continue to get more wonderfully insane as the years progress!

Baltimore Comic Con

Dates: September 26-28

Costumes: Queen Regina

This was my first time wearing Regina. I brought Kyoshi for that weekend, but I had so much fun as the Evil Queen that I decided to do her on Sunday in addition to Saturday. I also had my first ever real photoshoot with Green House Photography, which was a blast. I may have gotten hooked.

Philadelphia Wizard World

Dates: June 19-22

Costumes: Lust, Avatar Kyoshi

I think of Philadelphia Wizard World as my "debut" convention. It was my first convention on the East coast, no more than two weeks after I had moved from the middle of the country. I had so much fun cosplaying as two of my favorite fictional women and the rest, as they say, is history.
