The Hunger Games is one of those rare cases where I prefer the movies to the books. The writing, cinematography, and acting all come together to really paint a drastic picture of Panem and the scared girl reluctantly leading the revolution.
And, of course, the costumes are brilliant. The costume and makeup crew do such a phenomenal job of making Katniss look so different from scene to scene, really capturing the power of makeup and fashion both inside the Capitol and out.
I, of course, thought it would be a phenomenal idea to recreate the dress that looks like live coals. This design appears in Catching Fire during the Tribute Parade in the Capitol. It's made up of six different layers of glittery fabric and LEDs to get a shimmering, fiery effect. I love this dress to death and want to wear it just... all the time. All the time.
