My love for all things lunar runs deep, so of course I didn't stop at Princess Luna -- I had to make Nightmare Moon! I won't say I wasn't entirely rooting for eternal night... but deep down inside I kind of was. I love the quiet, the coolness, the stars, the moon, and all of the mysteries the night brings. I mean, I guess we need the sun for things like food and warmth, but... I can definitely sympathize with the Mare in the Moon.

 

This was such a fun costume to make! It was my first armor build. It's all EVA foam in various thicknesses, with hot glue for detailing. I recycled a few things from my Luna cosplay, most noticeably the wig, necklace, and wings.
